The reverse version of the Cotswold Way runs from Bath to Chipping Campden. The trail follows the route of the Cotswold Way escarpment as it falls away to reveal impressive views of the River Severn. From the World Heritage Site of Bath, the trail passes through a variety of scenery as it rolls over the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Between picturesque hedgerows and iconic dry-stone walls, the trail visits a series of beautiful villages, including the ancient Saxon town of Winchcombe with the famed gargoyles of St Peter’s Church and Painswick, with its Cotswold Stone buildings and fine yews in the parish church.

As the trail arrives in Chipping Campden, the history of the stunning old market town will give you the chance to reflect on the landscape of the Cotswolds. From Civil War battle sites and Cotswold Stone cottages to prehistoric barrows and impressive churches. This is the ideal way to experience the iconic countryside of the Cotswolds.
