Most convenient major city and International airports: Manchester Airport. There is a fast rail service between Manchester Airport and Hexham. The journey takes about 4 hours. From Hexham Railway Station take a taxi or bus to Chollerford. The journey by bus takes 20 minutes.

Outward journey from London to Hexham: There is a frequent train service from London Kings Cross to Hexham. The journey takes about 4 hours. From Hexham Railway Station take a taxi or bus to Chollerford. The journey by bus takes 20 minutes.

Return journey to London at the end of the holiday: Bus or taxi to Brampton Railway Station (Approximately 10 minutes). Train from Brampton railway station to London Kings Cross (4 hours 30 minutes).
