Most convenient major city and International airport: Manchester Airport. There is a direct train service to Penrith (journey time approximately 2 hours 30 minutes). From Penrith catch a bus or taxi to Pooley Bridge (15 minutes).

Outward journey from London: Train from London Euston to Penrith (journey time approximately 4 hours 20 minutes). From Penrith catch a bus or taxi to Pooley Bridge (15 minutes).

Return journey to London at the end of the holiday: Bus or taxi to Penrith (15 minutes), then train to London Euston (approximately 4 hours 20 minutes).

Return journey to Manchester Airport at the end of the holiday: Bus or taxi to Penrith (15 minutes), then train to Manchester Airport (approximately 2 hours 30 minutes).
