The Somerset Coast Path was opened in 2016 as part of ongoing plans to develop a full England Coast Path, showcasing the full range of the country’s coastal beauty. This attractive walking holiday stretches from Weston-super-Mare across Somerset’s unsung Jurassic coastline to the start of the South West Coast Path in Minehead, taking in a variety of stunning scenery along the way.
As well as taking a bracing walk along the dramatic ridge of Brean Down, this largely low-level trail boasts fascinating fossil beaches, quaint seaport villages, rugged peninsulas - from which to watch wildlife - and some of the longest sands in Europe, offering plenty to see and explore while enjoying the quiet atmosphere and incredible views throughout.
Choose from a range of itineraries to perfect your walking holiday on the Somerset Coast Path.
Following the River Parrett out of Bridgwater towards Combwich and up to Steart Marshes, taking in a vast array of wildlife along the way.
Heading right out to the water’s edge on Berrow Sands and dipping your feet in the Atlantic Ocean.
Walking into the ancient harbour town of Watchet and admiring the colourful boats in its busy marina.

Overnight stops marked with a (T) will always require transfers as standard.
Overnight stops marked with an (L) have very limited accommodation, and therefore more often than not will also require a transfer, particularly on bank holidays and weekends. We will use non-transfer accommodation wherever possible.

Further transfers may also be required due to some accommodations having a two-night minimum booking policy, especially at weekends.
Below are the additional costs that may apply depending on your requirements. Dog-friendly tours are subject to a Daily Dog Charge, which will be listed below if applicable.
