Antrim Coast and Glens

Beginning at the secluded Orra Beg, the Antrim Coast and Glens trail follows the Moyle Way south over hills and moors, along timber walkways, through river gorges and towards the Glenariff Forest Park, a nature reserve celebrated for its beautiful waterfalls and dense woodlands. The walk then ventures north to Altahullin Gorge, through five of the nine Glens of Antrim and towards the small harbour town of Ballycastle.

The walk then heads east, where a coastline of beaches, sea-carved rock and greenery awaits, presided over by a number of crumbling castles and leading at last to Giant’s Causeway, where basalt prisms march down into the sea. These 40,000 interlocked columns compose a World Heritage Site often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. This is truly an unforgettable sight on a fantastic walk that continues to Portstewart, passing Dunluce Castle, Bushmills distillery, and much more.
