The Cotswold Way covers 102 miles along the western edge of the Cotswold Hills, from the old wool town of Chipping Campden to the historic city of Bath. Unlike our Circular Walks in the Cotswolds, the Cotswold Way cuts south along the Cotswold escarpment, showcasing varied terrain and unforgettable views from atop its heights.
Along its length, this walking holiday encounters tranquil woodlands and sheltered valleys dotted with welcoming towns, villages and hamlets. Each settlement boasts insights into the region’s fascinating past, while the surrounding landscapes also feature a wealth of historical landmarks such as hill forts, castles and ancient battle sites.

“Absolutely lovely walk, the weather was with us. Luggage pick up and delivery was perfect, no problems. Packet was excellent. We have loved all our walking tours with Contours so far!”Mrs Moffatt, UK
“Richard and myself had a first class holiday on the Cotswold way enjoying mostly dry weather.”Mr Deavin, UK
“An excellent holiday. The admin and organisation were superb. I have no hesitation in booking another… As far as I'm concerned there's nothing you can improve on. Most certainly have recommended to people I met along the route. Meeting, walking and chatting with some many different people along the Way. The stunning countryside, the views, smell of bluebells and wild garlic. Taking my boots off at the end of the day.”Mrs Pearce-Urwin, UK
“The whole route was really beautiful, even under the rain, so it is very difficult to choose a favourite part.”Miss Detraz, France
“We were slightly nervous about doing the Cotswold Way in November but with a little luck from the weather it turned out to be amazing. With autumn colours enhancing the views and carpets of yellow leaves in the forests the scenery was stunning. The many pubs had roaring fires and pretty Cotswold villages were putting up Christmas lights and decorations. The only hazard was the mud! Fun at times but definitely slowed us down.”Mrs. Brain, UK
“Great landscape, great places”Mr Henningsen, Germany
“The Cotswold Way is well marked. We enjoyed the distances travelled each day. And met many wonderful fellow hikers along the way.”Ms Ziperman, USA
“Had a great time.”Mr Bone, USA
“As on our first tour, the walking was lovely. The accommodations were, once again, clean and hospitable, with great hosts.”Ms Logan, USA
