The north section of the Isle of Anglesey Coast Path starts in Bangor and continues along the diverse landscape of Anglesey's coastline to the busy ferry port of Holyhead.
The trail takes in the very best of Anglesey's ancient history, as well as the outstanding natural beauty that dominates the island.
There is also a wealth of wildlife to be spotted along the trail, especially from the head of Penmon Point, where the Special Protection Area of Puffin Island can be viewed off the shore, occupied only by a vast range of birdlife with the surrounding waters home to grey seals and dolphins.
Visiting Anglesey’s numerous ancient sites, including Castell Lleiniog, Penmon Priory and Beaumaris Castle.
Reaching the summit of Arthur’s Table, with fantastic views of Conwy Bay and the Snowdonia National Park.
Strolling along the stunning, sandy beaches of Red Wharfe Bay and Benllech.

This itinerary lists our preferred overnight stops for this tour. Sometimes there may be a shortage of available accommodation in a preferred location, in which case we will transfer you from the trail to your accommodation and back again at no extra charge. Overnight stops marked with a (T) will always require transfers as standard.
Overnight stops marked with an (L) have very limited accommodation, and therefore more often than not will also require a transfer, particularly on bank holidays and weekends. We will use non-transfer accommodation wherever possible.
The daily mileages quoted are average trail miles only and do not include the distance from the trail to your accommodation. We do not expect you to have to travel more than a mile from the trail to your accommodation; should your accommodation be further than this, transfers will be provided as standard.
