Lancashire Coast Path

The Lancashire Coast Path spans 77 miles between the seaside resort of Arnside, complete with views over the bay to the Lakeland fells, and neatly landscaped Lytham, with its historic windmill and pier.

The trail boasts plenty of marshland pathways and a wide range of wild shorelines to explore, from broad sands to rocky limestone scrambles sheltered by woodland. There’s a variety of birds to spot as you wander, especially near several river estuaries, and plenty of illustrated information boards describing the different species.

These remote stretches are brilliantly contrasted by the more built-up sections. In Morecambe, you’ll enjoy beautiful Lake District views, independent cafes and seaside sculptures all along its expansive seafront, and in Blackpool, you’ll find the famous tower, brightly lit pier and buzzing promenade. The Lancashire Coast Path is a great way to combine this English seaside favourite with the less neon, but no less lively, environments of our rural coastline.

We do not expect you to have to travel more than a mile from the trail to your accommodation in most cases; should your accommodation be further than this, transfers will be provided as standard if practical. A very limited number of stops will require you to travel on foot up to two miles off the trail, however these instances will be clearly communicated to you if applicable.

Further transfers may also be required due to some accommodations having a two-night minimum booking policy, especially at weekends.

Below are the additional costs that may apply depending on your requirements. Dog-friendly tours are subject to a Daily Dog Charge, which will be listed below if applicable.
