This is a single-centre tour — where you return to the same accommodation both nights — with three mileage options to choose from. Whether you opt for the longest route from Coniston to Elterwater, the mid-length route from Tarn Hows to Grasmere, or the shortest route from Hawkshead to Ambleside, you are sure to have an unforgettable adventure in this iconic National Park.
This two-night break was designed as a compact way to sample an area, ideal for a long weekend — and as a gift for an outdoorsy loved one. Stay in one accommodation for the duration, with a lift to the trail on the first morning and back to your accommodation after the final day's hike. Choose from three mileage options and explore at your own pace.

The longest version of this getaway explores 26 miles of varied Lake District footpaths, ideal if you’re looking for a quick break with epic scenery.
After spending the first night of your holiday in the town of Windermere (not to be confused with the nearby lake of the same name!) a taxi will collect you from your accommodation in the morning and drop you off at Coniston. The famous ‘Old Man of Coniston’ looms over the village as you commence the day’s walk, but aside from that, the route back to Windermere has plenty of wonderful sights to see.
Your second walking day will then begin from your accommodation’s doorstep, traversing diverse terrain and visiting multiple lovely villages on the way to Elterwater. A taxi transfer will then take you back to Windermere to collect your luggage, signalling the completion of your jaunt in the Lake District.
