This excellent little walking holiday is perfect for a quick foray into the world-renowned Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site. We designed this tour as a ready-to-go gift option for a loved one, or as a mini break for yourself; go on, you’ve earned it!

This is a single-centre tour — where you return to the same accommodation both nights — with three mileage options to choose from. Whether you opt for the longest route from Coniston to Elterwater, the mid-length route from Tarn Hows to Grasmere, or the shortest route from Hawkshead to Ambleside, you are sure to have an unforgettable adventure in this iconic National Park.

Windermere Two-Night Break - Medium

This mid-tier option of our Lake District mini break covers 22 miles of walking and is suited for a relaxed pace with ample breathing space to reconnect and recharge. 

After spending the first night of your holiday in the lively lakeside town of Windermere, a taxi will collect you from your accommodation in the morning and drop you off at Tarn Hows to begin your walk. Take some time at this gorgeous beauty spot before heading back to Windermere, wending your way through the landscapes and villages that inspired many literary greats. 

Your second walking day will then begin from your accommodation’s doorstep, passing yet more of the Lake District’s epic viewpoints before arriving at the pretty village of Grasmere (don’t forget to visit their world-famous gingerbread shop!) A taxi transfer will then take you back to Windermere to collect your luggage, signalling the end of your Lake District tour.
