Our team encountered inclement weather while filming our Tarka Trail video - so imagine how beautiful this walk might look in sunshine! We think it's quite pretty even in the wet, of course: a weatherproof sequence of riverside, moorland, valley and woodland walking with wild otters, ponies and birdlife to spot throughout. We run the Tarka Trail as a circular walk out of Barnstaple, too, which makes travel to and from your holiday that bit easier.
